Your Sense & Settle weighted sensory pad is designed to provide gentle, comforting pressure while seated and awake.

Important

Selection and use must consider the user's size, mobility, ability to communicate discomfort and ability to remove the pad independently. Sense & Settle pads are not bedding, sleep products, medical restraints or heat packs.

Safe use

  • Use only while awake and appropriately supervised.
  • Position across the lap. Never place over the face, head or neck.
  • The user must be able to remove the pad independently; otherwise a responsible adult or carer must supervise continuously.
  • Do not use during sleep or in a cot, bassinet or any infant sleeping environment.
  • This is not a restraint. Never secure or fasten the pad to the user.
  • Children should use the pad only under adult supervision.
  • Not suitable for infants, or for children who may chew, tear or mouth the product or its filling.
  • Check fabric, seams and stitching before each use.
  • Discontinue use immediately if the pad is torn, damaged or leaking.
  • HDPE pellets are not for consumption. Keep any loose pellets away from children and animals.
  • Keep away from flames, heaters and high heat.
  • Do not microwave or heat.
  • Do not use if the weight causes discomfort or restricts movement, breathing or circulation.
  • Seek appropriate healthcare or occupational therapy advice if you are unsure whether a weighted product suits the intended user.

Care

  • Spot clean where possible with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • For a deeper clean, gently hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with mild detergent.
  • Do not bleach, iron, dry clean, tumble dry or expose to high heat.
  • Reshape while damp, then lay flat or line dry until completely dry before use.
  • Do not use if the fabric or seams appear weakened after cleaning.

Storage

  • Store clean and completely dry.
  • Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sun, moisture, pets and heat.
  • Do not hang for extended periods.
